Lori Bures loves the" business" of real estate. However, after meeting her in person, you quickly realize her passion is the connection she makes & the relationships she builds with her clients.
She and her husband, Ed, have been married 25 years; they enjoy their 23-year-old son & 24-year-old "bonus" daughter who are the loves of their lives. Together the Bures family share a love for all animals, especially duck dogs and their labrador retrievers. They own a kennel and travel, training labs to achieve the title of "Master Hunter" by passing hunting tests throughout the midwest. One of Lori’s favorite things to do is to take the dogs for a run while she rides on the ATV. She also cherishes when time is allowed for baking cakes and cooking. When it comes to exercise, Lori embraces the peace that yoga brings her.
Lori has her Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts that she earned from MSU in acting. The arts will always have a special place in her heart.
Lori believes strongly that if your priorities are God, family, and then work, everything else should fall smoothly into place. Patience, Persistence, and Perseverance (or what she calls the 3 P's) are what make her a powerful force in today's quick and competitive real estate marketplace.
Lori grew up learning all about the business of real estate from her mom, Linda Barnes, from the 1970s until 2022. As a teenager, she didn’t realize all the lessons she was truly learning from the family dinner table. Lori has been selling real estate for 14 non-consecutive years at The Barnes Company alongside her mentor, broker, and mom, Linda Barnes, until Linda's recent retirement.
Her approach to the business of real estate is low pressure. She explains this to her clientele by saying, "When you know, you know." Truly, the favorite part of her job is when the "kismet" happens. "To me," she describes, "when you find the 'one', it will be a little bit like when you first fell in love." Her intuitive nature picks up on those amazing vibes and she often gets the "good chills'' right along with her buyers. Sellers also love her compassionate nature as letting go of a treasured home often comes with much emotion.
Her contagious smile and sense of humor continue to make the business of real estate low-stress and fun. If you choose Lori as your realtor, get ready to have the winning offer. Selling your home for the most money in the shortest amount of time has become an important business trademark, along with the VIP treatment of exceptional service & attitude that Lori brings to each and every real estate sale.
